Dalton is a small public play area close to a residential area that had been neglected and had seen better days. In order to regenerate the space we were asked by the local council to provide some new equipment.
Having a close relationship with West Lancashire Borough Council, we were approached to renovate the area and to come up with a design that children in the area can be proud of and enjoy. Being in a public space, it was specified that any equipment must be hard wearing and durable for heavy use.
A new climber was specified so the Galactic Play Unit, a steel framed climber with HDPE panels, was installed. New swings suitable for both younger and older children as well as springys and a mini roundabout finished off the space. Wet pour provided the safety surfacing around the individual pieces with concrete edging.
Existing play equipment that had seen better days were fixed and repositioned in to more suitable positions.
The completed park is now a feature for the area and locals now have a space they can now use in their down time.
