After the successful completion of an area on the other side of the school, St Richards Primary in Skelmersdale approached Playsound to renovate the Early Years area. The brief was to extend the space by removing a fenced of sloped area, providing a larger site for the children to use and encourage physical and balancing skills by use of the slope.
New artificial grass on the slope allows use of the area all year round and the bottom can be reached by new sleeper steps or a climbing ramp. A slide was also installed to add an element of excitement. A stage theatre and den area provides areas of imaginative play.
At the top of the embankment a new trim trail was placed, and sensory and creative play in the form of sand, mud kitchens and planters provides a fun and stimulating area. Once the overall area was completed with the brand new playground equipment the children couldn’t wait to try all of the new products.
