November 2019

Before the completed works the area over at St Bede’s catholic infant school was in need of a serious update. The existing tarmac surfacing had faded markings on and the existing brick walls had old images and murals painted all over them. Firstly, one of the main features to be changed was the surfacing. So after a few discussions with the school on what the types of options were, the final decision was Artificial Grass. After the ground was prepared, two of our Timber Ball Walls with basketball hoops were then situated in ground to create a zone perfect for fun football and basketball games. The artificial grass surfacing was then put onto the existing tarmac and brick walls to hideaway all the current drawings/ markings. Doing this made the space more cleaner, brighter and fresher looking. Our site fitters then drilled a variety of HDPE Ball Game Panels and Targets on top of the wall mounted Artificial Grass to add much needed play value. Finally to complete the playground, we installed a range of thermoplastic marking designs. Playground markings are a quick and affordable way of providing encouragement to be active as well as learning and being interactive. Doing this works has completely brightened up and transformed the area. Now of which is full of fun for everyone.
